Those
who caught sight of the eclipse at Cornwall may have also had time
to observe the plankton-eating Basking Sharks. These creatures have
been sorely treated by us through the years, but are now protected
and areslowly recovering in numbers (we think, but are not sure
yet).
There
seems to be more down in the south west this year than in previous-years
and hopefully we will see a few up in the Firth of Clyde, just off
the Ayrshire coast and Arran.
